5/8/2018

Community Action Partnership of North Central Missouri’s Women’s Health Services program offers income-based health and reproductive clinic services (www.greenhillswomenshealth.org) in Cameron at 210 N Main. CAPNCM Women’s Health Services clinics are open to everyone, regardless of financial or age restrictions. Fees for the strictly confidential services are charged on a sliding scale based on the patient’s income. Private insurance and Medicaid are accepted, as well as donations from patients and the public. Clinic staff includes a nurse practitioner and educators specifically trained in family planning services.

CAPNCM’s Women’s Health Services schedules nearly 100 clinics a year where women can receive their annual breast and reproductive system examinations, family-planning information and other related services.  The health clinics also provide limited services to men, most often related to STD screening and reproductive health. The Livingston County Community Foundation has announced a $5000 grant to the Community Action Partnership of North Central Missouri to be used for Women’s Health Services clinic supplies and equipment in Livingston County.

CAPNCM has been offering family planning services in rural Northern Missouri since 1969. At their mobile clinic in Chillicothe, women can receive their annual breast and reproductive exams, family planning education, and other related services. Women’s Health Services Helps Prevent Unplanned Pregnancy

4/10/2017

For over 40 years, abortion rights and human life have been a political hot button in our nation and beyond. Since 1973 when abortion was legalized in the United States, over 50 million women have chosen that path. It is estimated that 43% of all women will have at least 1 abortion by the time they are 45 years old.

CAPNCM Women’s Health Services hopes to help change those statistics.

The abortion rate among women living below 100% of the federal poverty level is nearly four times that of women above 200% of poverty. By providing low-income women access to low cost contraceptives and family planning information with the aid of Title X funding, the CAPNCM Women’s Health Services program has been helping to prevent unplanned pregnancy, and providing alternatives to abortion, for nearly 50 years. The program strongly advocates alternatives to abortion, giving women and teens other options when faced with what can be a very terrifying situation.

Not only does the WHS program help prevent unplanned pregnancy, it also helps to detect breast and cervical cancer, treat gynecological problems and infections, and help halt the spread of these infections.

These services are open to everyone, regardless of income, and clinics are currently available in ten locations across northern Missouri. If you would like to learn more about this program, or schedule an appointment to visit with our on-staff nurse practitioner, please call CAPNCM at 877-611-7600.
